Isaiah Robertson was born in Jamaica in 1947. From a young age, religion played a significant role in his life and journey toward becoming known as Prophet Isaiah. At twenty-four, Robertson left Jamaica and emigrated to Ontario, Canada, to find carpentry work and explore his faith. He moved across the border to Niagara Falls, NY, in 2004 after hearing about the favorable housing market, and became a parishioner at Mount Erie Baptist Church. When he was hired by his church in 2005 to sheetrock and hang drywall, he experienced his first prophecy, which led him to use his entire life savings to purchase honey-colored oak which he used to cover the church walls in intricate, interlocking wood cutouts that represented religious imagery.

While working on the church, Robertson received another divine message, this time to prepare his home for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. He began to build, paint, and adorn his home and property with religious-themed art and symbolism. In so doing, he was ensuring that believers and non-believers alike would see what he collectively called “the prophecy” before Judgement Day. Over the course of 15 years, Robertson filled his front yard and interior home with painted, beaded, and carved religious icons, a symbolic language he developed through his artworks. Most notable among the art environment he created is the 25-ft. tall cross overlooking the driveway, on which is mounted over a hundred stars, circles, arrows, and other cutouts, representing a view of the heavens for the faithful during Judgement Day.
