Immerse Yourself in Creativity at Eight HAHS Sites

This trip will include excursions to all HAHS members on Long Island:

Discover the Enduring Artistic Legacy and Community of the East End

During the 1950s, the most important art movement in the world, Abstract Expressionism, took place in this small rural community around East Hampton. Within this thriving artistic enclave Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner, Bill and Elaine de Kooning, Charlotte Park and James Brooks as well as Ibram Lassaw, and Robert Motherwell - all had their studios and homes. Summer visitors included Rothko, Gottlieb, Kline, Grace Hartigan, Helen Frankenthaler, and critic Clement Greenberg. It was a cultural community of artists unrivaled in American history. The homes were modest converted farmhouses with modern studios added. Historic Artists’ Homes and Studios boasts a larger constellation of East End Studios within its membership, and this trip includes exclusive experiences at all of them!

Today, the contemporary art world has also moved here, following in the footsteps of the renowned artists of the past. Our trip will focus on both historical sites and unique visits to current artistic spaces.

Join HAHS and Art Horizons in the Hamptons this Spring for a one-of-a-kind tour of this incredible place!

This thoughtfully curated trip includes exclusive experiences at HAHS sites, as well as private tours at contemporary artist studios and collector's homes, bridging past and present.
